Giancarlo Stanton's frustrating 2025 MLB season hasn't yet gotten off the ground.
The Yankees have been without their 6-foot-6 slugger for the entire campaign so far, and it's not yet clear when he'll be back.
"There is no set date for Giancarlo Stanton to begin a rehab assignment," MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reported Saturday morning.
Stanton was shut down with elbow tendinitis in both arms at the beginning of spring training.
The 35-year old did take live batting practice earlier this month.

ESPN's Jorge Castillo reported earlier in May that Stanton did expect to go on a rehab assignment before returning for the Yankees.
It's certainly a logical step given how long Stanton has been out.
Stanton won't need to build up endurance to play the field, given that he only is a DH at this point in his career.
The other dilemma? Ben Rice has been a star as the Yankees' DH.
Stanton's return might only see him matched up with left-handed starters in the early going while the Yanks try to keep Rice's bat in the lineup.
