WWE's title scene has been hampered by medical issues, both in storyline and in real life. Seth Rollins suffered a torn rotator cuff, putting an end to his Men's World Title run. Naomi vacated her Women's World Championship a few weeks after SummerSlam due to her pregnancy. Now, Sol Ruca has vacated the Women's Speed Title, setting up a tournament on NXT, and a new WWE addition will be entering said tournament with a new name.
LFG season 2 recently wrapped up, with Shiloh Hill and Dani Sekelsky emerging as the latest winners. Much like winners Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele in season 1, the winners were awarded NXT contracts. Jasper Troy recently won the Men's Speed Tournament and will challenge El Grande Americano for the title during NXT Gold Rush next week.
Troy may not be the only LFG winner involved in a Speed Championship match. Dani Sekelsky has officially been added to the Women's Speed Championship Tournament. Not only that, Sekelsky has been given her official WWE name, Skylar Raye.

"BREAKING: Here is the bracket for the Women's Speed Championship Tournament featuring Zaria taking on Wren Sinclair and Fallon Henley taking on LFG Season 2 Winner Skylar Raye!"All it would take is two wins for the new Skylar Raye to make history. Though she would have to beat former Women's North American Champion Fallon Henley, and the winner of Zaria vs. Wren Sinclair.
WWE teased a break up when Sol Ruca vacated the Women's Speed Title
Back on October 17, Sol Ruca and Zaria challenged Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the Women's Tag Team Championship on SmackDown. Sol unfortunately suffered an injury during the bout, though it's not exactly clear if this is legit or a storyline move.
Regardless, Sol was unable to defend her Women's North American Championship against Blake Monroe at Hallowen Havoc. Her best friend Zaria stepped in to defend in her honor, but ultimately lost to the Glamourous One.
On the October 28 edition of NXT, Sol was accompanied by Zaria when she met with NXT GM Ava. Despite Zaria clearly waiting for another opportunity to prove herself to her friend, Sol Ruca decided to vacate the Women's Speed Championship. Sol claimed she might be cleared in time for Deadline in December, but didn't want to hold up the division.
Zaria is in the tournament, which begins tonight, but the powerhouse was clearly hurt by the former champion's decision.
