Cody Rhodes has been making headlines with his reign as the Undisputed WWE Champion. The American Nightmare is one of the top names in the industry lately, and would potentially walk into WrestleMania 42 as the face of WWE yet again.
In a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast, Cody Rhodes addressed facing Seth Rollins again in WWE. While both men have created magic every time they have faced each other, the star pointed out a massive curse.
Rhodes stated that they weren’t good for each other, as the last two times they had clashed, one of them got injured and had to spend months on the shelf. Seth Rollins injured his shoulder recently following their clash at Crown Jewel, while Rhodes had to take time off to recover from his torn pec after their match at Hell in a Cell.
"At this point, real, not real, however you look at the industry, him and I aren't good for each other. We're not, we don't need to wrestle ever again. He's lost a shoulder. That (Hell in a Cell pec tear) was the first major injury I ever had. But I was glad to be in the ring with him that night. It was special," Rhodes stated [50.20 onwards]John Cena's last opponent leaked? Check here!
What’s next for Cody Rhodes in WWE?
Cody Rhodes managed to defeat Drew McIntyre to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event recently. The American Nightmare, following his victory, seems to be quite dominant, but his feud with the Scottish Warrior seemingly hasn’t concluded.
Following their match at SNME, both McIntyre and Rhodes need to move forward with their storyline and add more heat to their rivalry. Another potential match between both men after a few weeks of build-up would be the perfect way to intensify their feud. Time will tell what WWE has in store for the stars next.
