Former WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark has been out of action since this summer after suffering a career-threatening injury. She tore her MCL, ACL, and meniscus while competing in a Triple Threat match on Monday Night RAW.

The 31-year-old rising superstar is on the road to recovery. She has now finally provided a positive update on her ongoing rehab, explaining how she's getting closer to making her return.

The RAW star posted a video of herself on her official social media handles from the gym doing a running drill, and revealed that it has taken her nearly six months to run without pain.

"6 months in and finally able to fully run and pivot pain free. It took some time to get there but we got there. Thank you @optimizeptp one step closer to getting back into the ring! 🙌🙏," she wrote.

How did Zoey Stark get injured in WWE?

The 31-year-old superstar competed in the 2025 Women's Money in the Bank qualifier Triple Threat match on the May 19 episode of the red brand against Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley.

However, the qualifier turned out to be a nightmare for her. As Stark attempted a missile drop kick on Kairi, she botched the move and mislanded, putting her entire weight on her right knee.

The referee immediately pulled her out and made an X sign. The medical team rushed over and took Zoey out. Upon her medical evaluation, it was revealed that her injury was a career-threatening accident. She was immediately out of action, and she has been getting better and recovering ever since.

That said, it will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and his WWE creative team may have in store for Stark once she returns.
