WWE Star Breaks Down In Tears Live On-Air After Unplanned Title Change

The WWE Universe was left shocked after an unexpected title change took place following a messy finish on NXT last week. Blake Monroe defended her title against Thea Hail in a singles battle, and the least fans had expected was a title change. However, a botch ended up leading to the champion getting pinned in one of the most unexpected moments in NXT history, with Thea Hail getting crowned as the new NXT Women's North American Champion.

The new champion graced the ring with her presence, addressing the controversial finish to the Women's North American Championship match last week, and ended up breaking down in tears during the promo. The starstated how people didn't believe in her, but still she ended up becoming the youngest North American champion, making headlines all around the world.

"So many people said I couldn't do this but I believed. I believed in the moment when it meant most and when you believe and you believe hard enough you make history. Youbecome the youngest NXT women's North American champion in history. Growing up in front of the WWE universe has been hard. Finding your footing as a 20-some-year-old girl losing yourself and finding yourself at the same time has been difficult. It's been messy but it's been realand with this title I finally feel the confidence that I've been lacking. I finally feel like a grown as* woman," she said.

What's next for Thea Hail on WWE NXT?

Thea Hail, after her massive title win, is now set to defend her title at New Year's Evil. The title defence would come against the former champion, Blake Monroe, which could end up being the point where WWE goes back to square one and never talks about the botched finish from last week.
