Welcome to Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup for 8th November, 2025, where we will cover a few interesting topics, including the fallout from Friday Night SmackDown. In today's edition, we'll cover a champion's sudden title loss in under two minutes, some bad news for Jade Cargill, and Charlotte Flair's unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.

Let's get started:

#5. Bad news for WWE Women's Champion Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill's singles run started a while back on the blue brand when she ended her feud with Naomi. In the coming weeks, she won the Queen of the Ring tournament in Saudi Arabia, but failed to dethrone Tiffany Stratton as the champion on multiple occasions.

Last month, The Storm returned and turned heel on the champion. After she injured Tiffay Stratton, the 33-year-old star went on to win the WWE Women's Championship, squashing the champion in under six minutes at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Recently, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer rated the one-sided title match 1.75 stars. It's not the rating a champion would expect to have earned after winning the title. It'll be interesting to see what's next for the new champion on the blue brand.

#4. Top WWE name isn't clear to wrestle

Last month, Ilja Dragunov shocked the world when he returned to in-ring competition following his injury and answered Sami Zayn's United States Open Challenge. To everyone's surprise, The Mad Dragon won the title but was attacked by MFT.

Meanwhile, Sami Zayn hasn't wrestled in a while, and Nick Aldis recently revealed the reason. In a backstage segment, the SmackDown General Manager reasoned with the multi-time Intercontinental Champion and revealed to the fans that Sami Zayn isn't clear to wrestle. It'll be interesting to see when the former Honorary Uce gets his hands on MFT.

#3. Charlotte Flair suffers wardrobe malfunction on WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss formed an unlikely alliance on Friday Night SmackDown heading into WWE SummerSlam 2025. The two veterans eventually got on the same page and defeated The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

The two have been fighting champions on the brand, and have been surrounded by challengers on the main roster. However, no superstar is impervious to wardrobe malfunction, and Charlotte Flair, unfortunately, suffered one on a recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

It happened during a one-on-one match against Nia Jax, and the product team was forced to shift focus, and in other instances, the feed was cut abruptly. The incident took the spotlight away from Lash Legend, who appeared on the blue brand and assisted The Irresistible Force to win the match.

#2. Nick Aldis suspended Drew McIntyre on WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre often crosses a line or two when he's in an intense feud with another star in the promotion. From relentlessly going after an injured CM Punk to attacking Cody Rhodes, The Scottish Warrior doesn't hold back, and it was one of the reasons why he was suspended on Friday Night SmackDown.

In the show's main event, Drew McIntyre appeared and hit the in-ring official with a Claymore. After the attack, Nick Aldis appeared and suspended the multi-time WWE World Champion. While the odds were evened out when Damian Priest appeared in the ring, Aldis wanted to teach McIntyre a lesson for attacking the official and even got him removed from the building.

#1. Chelsea Green wins a title on WWE SmackDown in under two minutes

Chelsea Green is slowly regaining momentum as a performer in the Stamford-based promotion. Earlier this year, she lost the Women's United States Championship to Zelina Vega and lost Piper Niven from the group, as Niven is dealing with an injury.

Earlier this month, Ethan Page and Chelsea Green solidified their North American dominance when they won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship in Monterrey. On the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Green once again made history.

The 34-year-old star defeated Giulia to win the Women's United States Championship for the second time. The inaugural champion reclaimed the gold in less than two minutes, which shocked many, as the match lasted around a minute and thirty-five seconds. It'll be interesting to see if Green's second run can surpass her first run.
