WWE is mishandling the next 'The Undertaker', says wrestling veteran

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has been contributing behind the scenes following his in-ring retirement under Triple H's creative regime. Meanwhile, wrestling veteran Bin Hamin expressed how the management has been mishandling a talent like Damian Priest, who was once dubbed as the next Phenom.

Damian Priest has several similarities with The Undertaker in the Stamford-based promotion. From their stature to their in-ring abilities, Priest has often looked up to The Phenom before he got his start in the WWE as an in-ring performer under the old regime. Moreover, the management similarly presented The Archer of Infamy as a modern version of The Undertaker when he was rising the ranks in The Judgment Day.

However, the recent storyline with Aleister Black on Friday Night SmackDown has made Bin Hamin question the creative booking and mishandling of talent. Speaking on Vince Russo's The Brand, the wrestling veteran stated how the company has been mishandling a talent like Damian Priest, who they were once behind and dubbed as the next 'The Undertaker.'

"Same thing with Damian Priest, not being used. This was [in the beginning] whatever I shoot with invisible arrows to the next The Undertaker to The Terror Twins and everything that was the fallout from the clubhouse [The Judgment Day] to now, he's a Wepa guy? Like, 'Hey, I'm Puerto Rican, and I say "awesome" in Spanish like that's what it is. I come in and run people off. That's not a great use of a guy who's a top-tier talent who you, at one point, had faith in," Hamin said.

WWE Hall of Famer sees a lot of The Undertaker in Damian Priest

Last year, Damian Priest became a bona fide star on the red brand when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania in Philadelphia and won the World Heavyweight Championship. However, he spent months with the villainous faction and feuded with The Judgment Day's Finn Balor before he eventually moved to WWE SmackDown.

In an interview with Gaming Bible, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg stated he sees a lot of The Undertaker in Damian Priest, and he would've loved to have him and the rest of The Judgment Day in a modern incarnation of D-Generation X.
