WWE dropped a major tease ahead of its collaboration with Stranger Things on the January 5, 2026, episode of RAW. Bron Breakker will be challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the show next month.
CM Punk defeated Jey Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1 to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Seth Rollins previously held the title but was forced to relinquish it due to injury. Ahead of the promotion's collaboration with Stranger Things, a poster has been revealed for the title match between Punk and Bron Breakker, and you can check it out in the post below.
Punk captured the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Gunther at SummerSlam 2025, but his title reign was short-lived. Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on The Second City Saint to capture the title. Rollins suffered an injury during his victory over Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel 2025 and was forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship.
The veteran was the leader of The Vision faction but was betrayed by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed following his injury. The Vision beat Rollins down as a way to write him off WWE television as he recovers from injury. Logan Paul and Austin Theory have since joined The Vision following Rollins' exit.
Female WWE star wants to battle CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania
WWE RAW star Roxanne Perez recently disclosed that she wanted to battle CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania.
In an interview with Metro, The Judgment Day star shared that the former AEW star was her favorite growing up. Perez added that she would pick Punk as her opponent at The Show of Shows if given the choice.
