WWE is reportedly considering making a massive change next year. The promotion is currently on the road to Royal Rumble 2026 next month in Saudi Arabia.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, the promotion is considering increasing its road schedule for WWE NXT TV in 2026. The report noted that the reason for the change would be to get more reps for NXT stars on the show. It was also disclosed that the CW Network is in favor of the change because it would improve the product.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful added in the report that there are currently no plans for the promotion to "completely abandon" filming NXT shows at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Thea Hail recently captured the Women's North American Championship from Blake Monroe in a botched finish on WWE NXT television. Oba Femi is the reigning NXT Champion after defeating Ricky Saints to capture the title at NXT Deadline 2025.
Thea Hail reacts to major WWE NXT title win
Popular NXT star Thea Hail recently shared her thoughts on her surprising victory over Blake Monroe to become the new Women's North American Champion.
Hail defeated Monroe earlier this month on NXT after hitting a Senton in the middle of the ring. Monroe did not kick out before the referee counted to three, and the 22-year-old became champion. In an interview following the match, Hail admitted that she was all out of tears to cry and could not believe that she was the new Women's North American Champion in NXT.
"Kelly, I've been crying for the past 25 minutes. I don't have any more tears to cry. I, me, Thea Hail your new Women's North American Champion. I've been here since I was 18. Can you believe it? I was in Chase U, I've had friends, I've not had friends, I've always wanted a championship and I've finally....I have done this today. Do you see? It says Blake Monroe. But, it's going to say Thea Hail pretty soon. Kelly, Kelly, do you believe this?"THE REFEREE JUST BOTCHED THE FINISH AND THEA HAIL IS THE NEW CHAMP. THIS IS CRAZY 😭 #WWENXT
It will be interesting to see if the promotion has any more changes planned for NXT next year.
