Triple H's creative regime in WWE has released wrestlers from their contracts, similar to the old regime before their merger with the UFC. However, Vince Russo demands an answer from The Game and questions why Matt Cardona and Nic Nemeth are not working for the company.
In 2020, Matt Cardona, aka Zack Ryder, was released from the company along with several notable names from the roster. A few years later, Triple H's creative regime released fewer names following their merger with the UFC, which included Nic Nemeth, aka Dolph Ziggler.
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios' The Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo shared his experience of working with Cardona and Nemeth at a recent JCW show. During this, he praised both names and questioned Triple H's decision not to have them on the roster.
Moreover, Russo stated that the company picked rookie wrestlers from NXT over talented and seasoned stars like Nemeth and Cardona. The former writer also wanted an answer from Triple H and the team for making such decisions.
"I'm saying these guys are effing pros. These are pros through and through. That's when I asked myself the question, how do these guys get released by WWE and get replaced by NXT wrestlers who are greener than grass and will never be over? That's what I want. These guys are major league players, and these are the guys that are getting released for these NXT amateurs that will never be as good as these guys are. I want to know why, coach. I want to know why," Russo said. While Cardona's release happened a few years ago, Nemeth's release occurred under Triple H's regime, and Vince Russo questioned The Game for it.
Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona recently competed on WWE's main roster under Triple H's creative regime
Matt Cardona and Nic Nemeth landed on their feet following their release from the Stamford-based promotion. While Cardona went on to dominate several promotions, including NWA, where he became a world champion, Nemeth joined TNA Wrestling and eventually became the TNA World Champion.
Last month, Cardona returned to WWE as Zack Ryder on Friday Night SmackDown. Meanwhile, Nemeth returned as Dolph Ziggler on WWE RAW in the first round of 'The Last Time is Now.' The return was a one-off, as they had previously feuded with John Cena during their respective times on the roster and pushed their respective opponents in the tournament under Triple H's creative regime.
