You can never have enough depth as the NFL playoffs approach.
That's why the Buffalo Bills made a signing on Wednesday, bringing in a 6-foot-5 Florida Gators product on Christmas Eve.
The new guy: Richard Gouraige. His acquisition to the practice squad was reported by NFL transactions reporter Aaron Wilson.
Gouraige is a 27-year old offensive tackle, originally from Tampa. He was a four-star recruit and stayed in-state to play for the Gators.
He went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The only NFL team Gouraige has known is the Bills.
They signed him as an undrafted player after that 2023 draft. They have had him in camp each of his first three NFL summers, but each year, he has been cut before spending some time on the practice squad.
Gouraige has been elevated for gameday once, when the Bills played the Chiefs in November 2024.

Buffalo would prefer not to have to dip that deep into the depth chart if it doesn't have to. But it's the time of year where it's better to be safe and sorry.
Gouraige knows the system, the building and these teammates, and so if he is called upon in the weeks ahead, he'll be ready.
