Wings make shock Paige Bueckers injury announcement after concussion

Paige Bueckers was supposed to make it back on the court on Sunday.

Just a day earlier, the Dallas Wings announced their star guard had cleared concussion protocol.

That meant that, after missing three games, Bueckers would be back on the floor when the Wings took on the Lynx on Sunday.

But there was one problem: The Wings listed Bueckers with an illness on the Saturday injury report. The good news, though, was she was listed as "probable."

Turns out something must've changed, because Bueckers is now unavailable for Sunday's clash with the Lynx.

It's a brutal break for the Wings, who enter the game at 1-8 on the season and have to deal with the 8-0 Lynx without Bueckers.

It's also a bigger concern simply having to do with what's going on with the No. 1 overall pick out of UConn.

At this point, WNBA fans are just hoping Bueckers is OK. These might be two totally unrelated occurrences that just happen to overlap, and Bueckers may be back on the court very soon.

But until she is, Wings fans will be concerned about their star rookie.
