Will there be any bus parade if Man United wins UEFA Europa League? image

Manchester United fans dreaming of an open-top bus parade might need to cool their expectations — literally.

If the Red Devils win the UEFA Europa League this season, their victory lap could look more like a backyard gathering than a city-wide party.

United, who face Tottenham in the Europa League final on May 21 at San Mames in Bilbao, are preparing for a quieter kind of celebration.

The stakes are high. Both teams have had seasons to forget in the Premier League, stuck near the bottom half of the table. A trophy here could rescue some pride — and book a Champions League spot for 2025-26.

But don’t expect to see Bruno Fernandes waving to fans from a bus. According to reports, the club will swap champagne for sausages. If United lift the trophy, their reward won’t be a parade. It’ll be a barbecue at Carrington.

“United chiefs – or chefs – are reportedly planning a BBQ for one of the most low-key ways a footballing giant has ever marked winning silverware,” reports The Sun.

When Man Utd had their last bus parade?

It also marks over a decade since United last held an open-top parade — back in 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out with his 13th Premier League crown.

This plan isn’t just about keeping things low-key. United’s schedule is packed tighter than Old Trafford on derby day.

Just four days after the final, they’ll face Aston Villa in their last Premier League match. Then, they’re jetting off on a long-haul tour to Asia, with games in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong on May 28 and 30.

With travel, matches, and ongoing renovation work at the Carrington facility, a flashy public celebration is off the table.

Instead, players, staff, and their families are expected to gather privately for the cookout. Burgers over bus routes, if you will.
