Another day and another week have come wondering if Aaron Rodgers will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. At this point, nobody knows.
Furthermore, nobody has a clear timeline of when Rodgers will make his decision, but Steelers President Art Rooney is content on waiting longer.
“A little while longer. I’ll say the same thing," Rooney said about waiting.
As of May 23, the current Steelers QB depth chart is Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and rookie Will Howard. While the Steelers are certainly hoping Rodgers comes to town, it remains to be seen in any shape or form.
But, despite Rodgers potentially coming in and taking the QB1 job from the others, Howard doesn't seem to mind. Rather, the former Ohio State signal-caller would love to learn from No. 12, as Howard said during the "Up And Adams Show" earlier in the week.
"I idolized him growing up. I don't know what's going to happen, who knows, you know that's all over my head, but I'd love to be in a room and learn from him. Again, who knows what's going to happen. I have no idea. That's above my head," Howard said.
So, even though Howard would go down the depth chart if Rodgers signs, he would love the chance to learn from him, even if it means holding a clipboard and soaking up every drop of information possible when it comes to the former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets QB.
Hey, after all, Rodgers sat and learned from Brett Favre before becoming the Packers QB1, so Howard wouldn't mind sharing a QB room and locker room with Rodgers.
