Colorado Buffaloes football legend Shedeur Sanders breaks silence on Browns’ Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett

Over the next three months, the top NFL offseason story will reside in Cleveland, Ohio. The historic dumpster fire Cleveland Browns are starting down an unprecedented summer, where they'll have four quarterbacks compete for their starting job.

Shedeur Sanders is the most intriguing option of the quartet: the once highly touted prospect with the most dramatic draft freefall in sports history, thanks to an attitude that soured many executives around the league.

Yet, given the shaky state of the quarterback room, Sanders seems to have a legitimate chance to see the field. The Colorado product is finally breaking his silence on the QB battle and his fellow signal callers.

In an interview with FanDuel TV's "Up & Adams," Sanders praised his new teammates but noticed a trend amongst fans and the media.

"Everybody's cool," Sanders said. "Outside the room, people try to pit us against each other, but inside the room, we know we're one."

Sanders is starting the competition on the outside looking in. According to Browns beat writer May Kay Cabot, Kenny Pickett is getting the reps with the starters, whereas fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel will lead the second unit.

She noted that Sanders will likely split the third and fourth reps with veteran Joe Flacco at the outset.

The vibes might be high for now, but as September approaches, there's still a question mark next to QB1, and the mood is bound to shift. Sanders isn't afraid to speak his mind and already feels slighted after slipping to the fifth round.

It'll be fascinating to see how he adjusts if his position internally doesn't improve.
