Second Lady Usha Vance broke her silence over divorce speculations after she was seen without her wedding ring. Split rumors between Usha and Vice President JD Vance started swirling after her visit to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville on November 19. She stunned in the event, wearing a burgundy turtleneck dress, but it was her ringless hand that sparked controversy.
However, according to the Second Lady's spokesperson's statement to People on November 22, there is nothing true about the rumors that she and the Vice President are heading for a divorce. Her spokesperson said that Usha Vance was seen without her wedding ring because she simply forgot to wear it. They said:
"[Usha] is a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes."Usha Vance is very private and rarely speaks with the press, but she's present in many official visits. She was with First Lady Melania Trump during the Camp Lejeune event. As for her and the Vice President, they got married in 2014 after meeting at Yale Law School. They have three kids together: Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel.
In JD Vance's memoir, per the BBC, he described the Second Lady as a "genetic anomaly" because he thinks that she has so many ideal qualities. He also said in the book that he "fell hard" for her in Yale and said that he was in love after just one date and "violated every rule of modern dating."
JD Vance recently sparked controversy after saying he wants Usha Vance to convert to Christianity

The Vice President took the stage during the event to honor the conservative group's late founder, Charlie Kirk, and answered a question about American patriotism and Christianity.
During his speech, Vance mentioned his wife growing up in a Hindu household, "but not in a particularly religious family." He also said that he and Usha decided to raise their kids as Christians, but she herself is not a Christian. Vance added:
"As I've told her, and as I've said publicly, and as I'll say now in front of 10,000 of my closest friends: do I hope, eventually, that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved by in church? Yes. I honestly do wish that, because I believe in the Christian gospel and I hope that eventually my wife comes to see it the same way."However, the US Vice President added that it won't cause any problem if she decides not to convert because he believes that God has given everyone free will. That said, he repeated the same comment about hoping "she may one day see things as I do" about converting to Christianity in a fan comment on X that same month.
Usha Vance has previously publicly stated that she has no plans to convert. She told Meghan McCain in June that their kids know that she isn't Catholic, despite their family making church a "family experience."
