This offseason, the Miami Dolphins have cut ties with Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill as they reshape their entire offense. With the recent blockbuster trade of Jaylen Waddle, the Miami WR room looks a lot different.
But that trade with Waddle has led to some big draft fallout. Not only do the Dolphins now have the 30th overall pick, and the Denver Broncos are out of the first and third rounds, but the Dolphins now have a massive hole at WR.
As ESPN's Field Yates noted, the Dolphins are squarely in play for WR at the 11th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. That rumor, as a consequence of the Waddle trade, is some very bad news for the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and the New York Jets.
Jaylen Waddle trade is bad news for Jets, Rams, Ravens
"The trade of Jaylen Waddle puts WR squarely in play for the Dolphins at pick 11," Yates posted. "Their current WR room is the thinnest in the NFL now."
Miami has a huge hole at WR now with Waddle and Hill both gone. That has opened the door for one of the top wide receivers to be selected at 11th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
There are currently three wide receivers widely viewed as the best in the class. Ohio State's Carnell Tate, USC's Makai Lemon, and Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson.
Often in mock drafts, one of those receivers makes it to the Rams, Ravens, and even sometimes the Jets pick at 16th overall.
However, the Waddle trade has made it so that it's not only the Jets that are fearful of missing out on a top WR. The Rams, picking 13th thanks to the Atlanta Falcons, might also miss one of those three WRs.

Selecting ahead of the Dolphins are the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, and the Kansas City Chiefs, all in play to take a WR.
Not all of those teams will take a WR, but it wouldn't be out of the question for Miami to take the third and final WR of these top-three options.
Omar Cooper Jr. and KC Concepcion are also first-round caliber WRs that might get bumped up the board with this Waddle trade, as the Jets, Ravens, or even Rams might have to reach for a WR with the top-11 being littered with WR-needy teams.
The Dolphins' trade of Waddle to the Broncos is bringing bad news to the Jets, Ravens, and Rams in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.
