Less than 24 hours after the Magic's season ended in a Game 7 loss to the Pistons, the team decided to part ways with head coach Jamahl Mosley.
Mosley was Orlando's head coach for the past five seasons, leading the team to three postseason appearances.
In today's NBA, we have seen coaches be given a short leash in terms of the window they have to help get their team success.
In Mosley's three playoff appearances as the coach, the Magic didn't make it out of the first round once, losing two Game 7s in that span.

The Magic finished the regular season as the #8 seed, but took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the #1 seed Pistons.
They'd go on to lose the next three games, failing to close their series with Detroit.
Last summer, the Magic made a trade to acquire Desmond Bane, where they gave up several first-round picks to acquire the former Grizzly.
This move showed they were going all in, with the hopes of finishing the regular season as a top seed.
They experienced injuries throughout the year, but ultimately didn't get the output they were hoping for, considering there was a lot of buzz around the core they put together last offseason.
The Magic will now begin searching for a new head coach who can help them get past the first round of the playoffs for the first time since the 2010 postseason.
