Why Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens didn't play first series on Monday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys returned from their bye to play the Raiders on Monday Night Football.

And something weird happened right out of the gate with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens: Neither was on the field.

What in the world?

Good news: Both came in for the second drive.

Why aren't CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens playing?

No one knows why Lamb and Pickens didn't play the first drive.

It's not clear whether it will last.

Both were on the bench in uniform but just watching the opening series, which was a quick punt for Dallas.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X and described it as "some discipline."

Pickens and Lamb both jogged out onto the field for the first play of the Cowboys' second drive.

Whatever it was, it appears it was a one-drive punishment.
