"They're kicking us out"- Ilona Maher calls out restaurant while taking a dig at 'American dining'

American rugby player Ilona Maher is back in the news, but this time for a different reason. Maher called out an American restaurant for misbehaving with her and an acquaintance without offering any explanation.

Maher narrated her experience on her Instagram profile. According to her, she was enjoying her meal slowly when the restaurant staff removed her and her friend to make way for another party.

Ilona Maher took a swipe at the American fine dining standards with her Instagram story. She wrote in the caption,

"Made a reservation. Had a lovely meal then after two hours they're kicking us out for the next guest. American dining at it's finest. Like I'm trying to drink my wine slowly and chat."

Maher previously expressed her disappointment on missing out on the premier show of Zootopia 2. She wrote in one of her Instagram stories,

"Absolutely devastated I wasn't invited to the Zootopia 2 premiere. They must not know that it is one of my favorite movies and an absolute masterpiece to me."

Ilona Maher is a prominent rugby player who also proved her mettle at the dance reality show 'Dancing with the Stars' last year. Teaming up with choreographer Alan Bersten, the Olympic bronze medalist finished as runner-up overall.

When Ilona Maher revealed her unfiltered opinion while talking about fitness standards

Ilona Maher previously reflected on the fitness standards allegedly set by modern society. The Olympic bronze medalist talked about the compulsion to have a chiseled body as she remarked,

"I’m not saying six-packs are bad, but I do firmly believe that we aren’t all meant to have them, and they are not a determinant of how fit or athletic you are. I am a two-time Olympian in an extremely fitness-based sport. Been a professional athlete for 7 years, and I have never had a six-pack."

The rugby player further added in her Instagram post,

"Be kind to your body. We aren’t all meant to be small. Take up space. See exactly what your body is capable of with or without a six-pack."

Ilona Maher was last seen in action at the Rugby World Cup this year, where Team USA got eliminated in the pool stage. The Olympic bronze medalist previously represented the Bristol Bears in the Premiership Women's League Rugby, which went on to qualify for the semifinals of the current season.
