Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson has responded to people's accusations that her boyfriend is not Swedish because he isn't "blonde with blue eyes." For those uninformed, Larsson is currently dating dancer Lamin Holmén, who is of Swedish and Gambian descent. Larsson and Holmén reportedly began dating in 2021, and Holmén appeared in the music video for Larsson's Talk About Love, which was released that same year.
On December 29, 2025, Zara Larsson took to her TikTok account to respond to a comment about her boyfriend, which suggested that Lamin Holmén was "very clearly not Swedish" due to his race. The singer's hilarious response included a clip of herself distorting her face using TikTok filters, as the text read:
“How people react when they see the Swedish boy im kissing isn’t blonde with blue eyes.”According to Famous Birthdays, Lamin Holmén was reportedly born in Stockholm, Sweden, on January 2, 1993. He began training in dance at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City for six months. In a video for NLY MAN in 2019, the dancer said:
"When I dance, it takes the feeling I have inside and just puts it out into the world. And hopefully, people can pick up on that."Zara Larsson suggested that she hoped to marry Lamin Holmén
Zara Larsson recently suggested that she hoped to marry and start a family with boyfriend Lamin Holmén. The 27-year-old singer shared this when she was interviewed for Biz on Sunday, The Sun's Sunday newspaper column, in September 2025, saying:
"We’ll see about that. That would be cute, it would just be a party, wouldn’t it? For a lot of people, their wedding day is maybe the only day they get to wear a really pretty dress, have their make-up and hair done, and everyone is looking at them."The pop star continued:
"But for me, I am like, 'S**t, that’s like a regular Friday.' It would just be for the party and for, I guess, fun memories ... we will see... We want a family at some point. Then it’s like, 'How do we do that? You know, Mommy’s on tour.'"

For those uninformed, Larsson is currently on her "Midnight Sun Tour," which kicked off in Germany this October following the release of her new album of the same name.
During her interview with Biz on Sunday, the singer admitted that it "sucks" to be away from her boyfriend for long periods of time because of work, adding that she was excited to have him on tour this time.
During a 2021 interview with The Sun, Zara Larsson revealed that her 2021 album Poster Girl was "super loved-up" following her relationship with Lamin Holmén. The album included the track Talk About Love, and the accompanying music video starred Holmén.
On a professional front, Zara Larsson released her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, on September 26, 2025. The Swedish pop star described the project as a "love letter to life" in an interview with The Line of Best Fit at the time, saying:
“It’s a love letter to life. The best thing that I know is to go out to my country house, an hour outside of Stockholm, and just be in nature. There’s so many beautiful things about growing up there. I just wanted to capture the essence of that more. I travel so much, just like, take me to a tree. Let me touch grass!... It’s so beautiful and I’m so thankful to be alive, to be doing what I do.”Zara Larsson is currently on a break from her ongoing "Midnight Sun Tour," which will resume in Portland, Oregon, on February 28, 2026.
