Vince McMahon's final email to the WWE board has been revealed. The former CEO of the Stamford-based promotion resigned from his position in 2022 pending an internal investigation. However, he returned to the board in 2023, overseeing WWE's sale to Endeavor Group Holdings and the subsequent merger with UFC under TKO.

In January 2024, Vince was forced to step down once again after allegations of s*xual misconduct and was named in the Janel Grant lawsuit. Since then, he hasn't been involved with the product that he helped become a global phenomenon.

Another controversy erupted with the WWE shareholder lawsuit filed in November 2023. The lawsuit alleged that McMahon had not been transparent in the process for WWE’s sale to Endeavor. The Delaware Court of Chancery issued a ruling that WWE and its executives must produce documents related to McMahon's conduct following multiple federal investigations.

Now, in the recent court filings, Vince McMahon's final email to the WWE board after his exit has been revealed, first reported by POST Wrestling. In the email, McMahon mentions using the corporate email after his official exit and shows his gratitude to everyone for going through the entire process.

"Even though I am no longer employed by WWE as of 4 pm EST, I’m taking the liberty of using corporate email one hour after my official departure. I hope that’s alright, lol. I understand this has been a painful and arduous process for all of us to reach a conclusion. I have the utmost respect for each and every one of you and ultimately support your decision-making in an effort to protect shareholder value," the email reads.

He continues the message, thanking the board members for helping him build the WWE brand and encouraging them to put the past behind them.

"I’ve always been forthright with the Board, and I thank you for helping me build WWE into the promotional juggernaut and cultural icon that it is today. I would expect nothing less than your continued guidance and support for our new leadership team. I would further encourage you to immediately put the past behind us and return to the fun-loving, entrepreneurial spirit we previously enjoyed," the email further adds.

Vince McMahon was creatively involved with WWE ahead of WrestleMania 39

The court filings also reveal the text messages sent by Endeavor executive Mark Shapiro in July 2022. In his messages, Shapiro wrote that he expects Vince McMahon to be back in WWE after nine months.

Notably, Vince returned sooner than that, and as per the POST Wrestling report, he was involved in creative plans for WrestleMania 39. WWE President Nick Khan had denied McMahon's involvement earlier.

A text message exchange between Vince McMahon, Nick, and Bruce Prichard reveals them having a conversation about the creative plans for the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns match at the event.
