Who Is Nate Bargatze? What to Know About the Emmys 2025 Host
The 2025 Emmys are a little furrier this year.
The stars of RuPaul's Drag Race all stunned when they arrived on the red carpet at Los Angeles' Peacock Theater for this year's award show, however Joella caused jaws to drop in her Labubu-inspired look.
Indeed, the season 16 contestant arrived in a tan, furry suit complete with the classic Labubu ears . Joella—whose face was just visible in a perfect circle cutout, makeup designed to resemble a Labubu's eyes and sharp teeth—also donned a red dress, woven hat, red shoes and carried a purse shaped like a takeout container. (See every red carpet look here.)
In a video shared by fellow Drag Race star Jewels Sparkles to her Instagram Story, Joella tells the camera, "Hi! It's the slay-sian Labubu."
The beloved competitions series is up for two awards this year, including one for its host RuPaul and a second in the Outstanding Reality Competition Series category. Other series nominated in the category are The Traitors, Top Chef, Survivor and The Amazing Race.
The show's recap series, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, is also nominated in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program alongside America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Love on the Spectrum, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Welcome to Wrexham.
RuPaul's Drag Race and its many stars and staff are no strangers to the Emmys. After all, over the years the series has earned a whopping 79 nominations, 29 of which it has won.

In addition to Joella, Drag Race's Sam Star channeled old Hollywood glam for her look, donning a gorgeous white, beaded gown, her blonde hair billowing around her head.
Lexi Love, meanwhile, went for a pretty in pink look—literally. For the occasion, Lexi covered her body in pink glitter, her hair tied into a high, pink ponytail which trailed down her back and pink heart earrings in her ears. She completed her look with a bedazzled pink sash.
