Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London burst onto the scene during the 2024 season, posting career highs with 100 receptions, 1,271 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Going into 2025, London has high expectations for an Atlanta team that is looking to make the postseason for the first time since 2017.

London suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of a 23-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, however. The wide receiver had eight receptions for 55 yards before leaving the game.

In Week 2, the Falcons are on primetime, facing the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football; Minnesota had a comeback victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 1.

Is Drake London playing this week?

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris told reporters that London will play on Sunday night.

Falcons WRs Drake London and Darnell Mooney do not have an injury designation for Sunday night’s game vs. the Vikings and are good to go.

Earlier in the week, Morris said the team was expecting London to play, and he confirmed it on Friday. London practiced for the first time this week on September 10, and was ramping up since.

Now, Morris affirmed that London will have no injury designations and he will suit up against Minnesota.

What is Drake London's injury?

In Week 1 against Tampa Bay, London injured his shoulder in the final minutes of the game. Atlanta had a chance to tie the game or take the lead with less than one minute remaining, but were unable to; London was not featured on the drive.

The injury was ruled as a shoulder sprain, and the wide receiver was initially day-to-day.
