Carly Rae Jepsen recently took to Instagram to announce her first pregnancy with husband, Cole M.G.N. On November 3, 2025, Jepsen posted a series of pictures, captioned:

“Oh hi baby.”

This aforementioned post featured black-and-white photos of the singer in her pajamas, showing off her bump alongside her husband.

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer who captured public attention in 2007 after finishing third on Canadian Idol, season five. Her global breakthrough came in 2012 with Call Me Maybe and her popular collaboration Good Time with Owl City.

Additionally, the pregnancy announcement came just weeks after the singer and Cole M.G.N. tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.

Carly Rae Jepsen's relationship with Cole M.G.N. began with their 2023 collaboration for the album The Loveliest Time.

In an interview with People Magazine in 2023, Jepsen explained how the collaboration with Cole evolved into something deeper.

Recalling their beginnings, Carly Rae Jepsen said the song, So Right, became their real-life “meet-cute.”

"I would've been too shy beforehand to be like, 'Do you want to do a skit at the beginning?…But now that we're so close, it was just really fun and playful to be like, 'Let's have this very '80s drama skit at the beginning where you ask me if I should come over and I say no, but then I come anyways,'" the singer explained to the outlet.

She further explained to the outlet that one had to "get to a certain level of comfort with somebody" before one can get to "those really playful, joyful, experimental places."

In June 2023, the singer also shared a "visualizer" on Instagram for "Shy Boy." This visualizer featured footage of her and Cole, dancing in the street under twinkling lights, and enjoying a nighttime boat ride together.

In that visualizer post, she also gave Cole a shout-out in the caption, writing:

"Shy Boy visualizer now available to watch on YouTube. All the Academy Awards to my real life shy boy @colemgn for being so cute."

Carly Rae Jepsen and Cole M.G.N. announced their engagement on September 23, 2024, via Instagram with a carousel of photos of the two embracing and exploring the outdoors. One of the photos offered a closer look at her engagement ring.

On October 4, 2025, Jepsen and Cole exchanged vows at the historic Chelsea Hotel in New York City. According to Vogue, the intimate ceremony was held in the hotel’s Bard Room, surrounded by around 100 guests.

Carly Rae Jepsen explained that the location held personal significance for both of them, and told Vogue:

“We knew we wanted a location that meant something to us, and the Chelsea Hotel had become a home away from home every time we were in New York. As artists, its iconic history and lore made it that much more appealing.”

Jepsen also hinted at her pregnancy while talking about the loose wedding dress she wore to her reception.

“We knew we were trying to get pregnant, so I also wanted an alternative dress that was much more flowy that I could sub in for the ceremony or just change into for dancing,” she explained to the outlet.
