Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere was exclusively filmed in New Jersey, encompassing over a dozen towns, including Asbury Park, Freehold, Newark and the Meadowlands.
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere filming locations and production details
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere production crew mainly used New Jersey as its filming location. Filmed entirely across New Jersey, the production spanned 16 municipalities and hired more than 500 local crew members, spending $41.8 million into the state’s economy. Principal photography began on October 28, 2024 and concluded on January 11, 2025.
Much of the filming was focused on Asbury Park, recreating a 1980s version of the shore town featuring vintage cars on Main Street. Also, some key local spots at the park were transformed during the production which include Frank’s Deli and Restaurant, the Stone Pony, the Convention Hall, the beach, and the Carousel House.
A significant portion of the shoot took place in Bayonne, where the crew utilized John’s Midtown Tavern and surrounding areas for period-appropriate scenes. In East Rutherford, the production used the Meadowlands Arena as a stand-in for major concert venues such as Cincinnati’s Riverfront Arena and the LA Sports Arena, to authentically capture the scale of Springsteen’s early-1980s touring era.
In Newark, the crew redesigned two restaurants, Central and Konoz, into New York City eateries, while a Harding Township farm became the Archer County Fair in Texas. The project also received the stamp of approval from Bruce Springsteen himself, who visited the set during filming.
Springsteen publicly praised White’s portrayal and noted his support for the production’s vision. In a podcast with SiriusXM, he stated:
"Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He’s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize and he’s just done a great job, so I’ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there."Listed below are all the 16 locations which were used by the Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere production crew in New Jersey:
