After taking the CAA tournament title and the league's automatic NCAA bid as the No. 2 seed last year, UNC Wilmington enters this year's event as the team to beat.
The Seahawks paced the conference during the regular season with a 26-5 overall record, including 15-3 in CAA play. UNCW has a balanced attack, with seven players averaging between 9.3 and 14.6 points per game, and will hope to continue its run of success deep into March.
There will be plenty of able challengers, though, led by No. 2 seed Charleston, which won the CAA tournament title in 2023 and 2024. Led by former Louisville and Xavier coach Chris Mack, the Cougars won at UNCW in the regular-season finale and are primed for another title run.
Plenty of other teams could challenge for glory, from No. 3 seed Hofstra or No. 4 Monmouth to a surprise underdog. UNCW's championship game win last year was a nail-biter over No. 12 seed Delaware, which upset three of the top five seeds to reach the final.
Here's everything you need to know to watch all the drama this year.
