Over a month after teasing her new album, Hilary Duff finally shared details of the first single from her upcoming project. The singer-actress announced that her new single is titled Mature, and it will be out on Thursday, November 6.
She shared the title and the song's cover art, which sees a picture of her looking off camera with a serious expression on her face overlapped three times, on her Instagram on Monday, November 3, writing:
"So happy this is finally yours to hear. Been keeping this one quiet too long. My new single Mature is out Nov 6."Her new song is a long time coming, marking her first single since she released Sparks from her album Breathe In. Breathe Out ten years ago in 2015. She first teased her comeback to music in September, following her contract signing with Atlantic Records.
She also teased her fans during the Milan Fashion Week that month, telling WWD that her upcoming album is going to be pop music. She's also been spending some time in the studio around the same month, based on her Instagram posts. On September 10, she shared a snippet of her time in a music studio working with her musician husband, Mathew Koma.
Also, according to Rolling Stone, Hilary Duff reported a 400% increase in searches of her music on Spotify since she announced her return to music in September.

It's been ten years since Hilary Duff released any music, but according to the singer-actress, fans will be "getting something really soon." In an interview with Variety, published on October 27, she said that she's been "hard at work" with her husband in the studio.

She also talked about why it took her a decade to release anything new, to which she said:
"I always knew I was going to return to music. I needed to feel safe, and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100% ready. Honestly, I needed to have ten years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say."Now that she has her ten years, she said that the album feels like the inner workings of her brain, which makes her excited to connect with people on a "very forward-facing level." But besides releasing new music, Hilary Duff is also giving her fans an inside look at her music comeback in a docuseries. Sam Wrench, who helmed Taylor Swift's Eras Tour documentary, will direct it.
It will reportedly highlight the ins and outs of her personal life while recording her new album and her preparations and rehearsals for what would be her first live show in almost ten years.
