Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a brutal injury during the blockbuster game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. The injury occurred during the second quarter when the Greek superstar grabbed at his groin as soon as he went down on an attempt at the rim.
Antetokounmpo immediately grimaced with pain, sparking major concerns in the Bucks' camp. The two-time league MVP hobbled down the floor and committed a quick foul before exiting the game. He walked straight to the locker room in visible pain.
The Bucks later released an official statement on Giannis Antetokounmpo and ruled him out for the remainder of the game. The one-time NBA champion was diagnosed with a left groin strain.
Antetokounmpo delivered a solid all-round performance in 13 minutes before getting injured. He scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. The Bucks forward also recorded five rebounds, four assists and one steal.
