BREAKING: AJ Lee returns to WWE followed by a shocking sequence of events on RAW

AJ Lee is back in WWE for the first time since Wrestlepalooza 2025, and as usual, chaos and pandemonium followed her. Her return was met with a shocking sequence of events.

This week on RAW, Becky Lynch finally had a legitimate Intercontinental Championship defense against the woman who has been a thorn in her side - Maxxine Dupri. The relative rookie has defeated Becky Lynch multiple times, even if it was via count-out or otherwise. Either way, she got an Intercontinental Championship defense, and for her, it was on one of the biggest stages possible in Madison Square Garden. While Maxxine has had the upper hand on multiple occasions, everybody assumed that the actual match between her and Becky Lynch would only have one outcome - with the Intercontinental title staying intact.

That wasn't the case. In a shocking moment, AJ Lee made her return as Becky Lynch was desperately undoing one of the turnbuckles. Following this, Maxxine Dupri hit a crossbody on The Man, pinning her 1-2-3 and becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. This was sheer pandemonium, and nobody expected it, but AJ Lee was more than happy to serve the assist.

Maxxine Dupri had the greatest moment of her career so far as she dethroned one of the greatest of all time to become the third Intercontinental Champion in the title's lineage. With Lyra Valkyria, she was a proven prospect, and nobody questioned the decision to make her the first Intercontinental Champion, even amongst the pro-Dakota Kai camp. Becky Lynch is an established name, so nobody would dare to question the legitimacy she brings to the title.

Maxxine Dupri has a huge responsibility on her shoulders, and she has to carry the weight of it the same way Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch did. Time will tell how she does as the Champion.
