Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys last won the Vince Lombardi Trophy nearly 30 years ago when Troy Aikman led the franchise to glory in the 1996 Super Bowl. The Cowboys owner was asked about the team's Super Bowl drought on Tuesday.
"One year you can change the drought," Jones said, via 105.3 The Fan. "And then you’re the latest to have gone to the playoffs or gone to the Super Bowl. So, I don’t pay any attention to 30 years this, 20 years that, when I know one good year will change it all and you’d be at the top of the list. “When you start looking at time, it’s easy for me to step up there and say, ‘I can change that next year.’ That’s what you’re wanting to do and that’s what our fans expect me to do, in my mind.”•
