AEW President Tony Khan commented on his recent encounter with a former WWE name. As 2025 comes to an end, Khan has received a lot of praise for his work throughout the year. He has been actively promoting his product and recently met with former WWE commentator Scott Stanford to promote the Jacksonville-based promotion's upcoming pay-per-view, Worlds End, taking place this Saturday.
Stanford had worked in WWE for 15 years. He joined the global sports entertainment juggernaut in 2009 and had multiple roles in the company. He announced his departure from the promotion in July earlier this year. He is currently a morning news reporter at 1010 WINS.
Recently, Scott Stanford met the AEW President on 1010 WINS. He posted their encounter on X/Twitter. Later, Tony Khan also posted the clip and announced the start of Christmas week, during which fans will witness three major shows.

With Warner Bros. now part of Netflix, fans had many questions about AEW's future.
Speaking with TV Insider, Tony Khan clarified that his partnership with Warner Bros. will continue for two more years and will hopefully extend down the line.
"I think we have a lot of certainty and are very excited. 2025 is the most exciting year yet for AEW, and our partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery was reimagined this year and will continue for years to come. We’re locked in with TNT, TBS, and HBO Max for over two more years. The future is bright for us for years to come," Tony said.It remains to be seen what Tony has in store for his fans in 2026.
