Josh Allen put his best foot forward to try to help the Buffalo Bills win in Week 17. Unfortunately, the offense had a slow start in the game, giving the Philadelphia Eagles the leeway to secure a 13-0 lead heading into halftime.
The 2024 NFL MVP kept hopes alive after scoring two back-to-back touchdowns in the fourth quarter. This helped the Bills minimize the deficit to just one point. With just a few seconds left in the game, Sean McDermott's team decided to go for a two-point conversion attempt. Unfortunately, things did not play out in their favor.
Josh Allen failed to connect with wide receiver Khalil Shakir, who was in the end zone. This resulted in them suffering a 13-12 loss at home. In a clip shared online, the Bills quarterback was visibly frustrated about failing the two-point conversion attempt. Allen had his helmet off while his face showed an expression of disappointment.

The four-time Pro Bowler ended the game completing 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards and two rushing touchdowns. This loss brought an end to the Bills' four-game winning streak. They are in second place in the AFC East behind the Patriots with an 11-5 record.
On the other hand, the Eagles, who already won the NFC East after last week's victory over the Commanders, improved to an 11-5 record. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 13 of 27 passes for 110 yards. His only touchdown of the game came in the first quarter when he connected with TE Dallas Goedert.
Josh Allen expresses disappointment about failing two-point conversion attempt
In the postgame press conference, the Bills quarterback did not shy away from talking about the failed two-point conversion attempt in the dying seconds of the game.
Josh Allen took responsibility for the play while giving credit to the Eagles' defense for holding on to take home the win.
"Yeah I just missed it," Allen said. "Rolling left. G ot to give him a better ball. "Just get into a play that we like, and it was there and I gotta make it. "They got a good front, they've got a good defense. That's the defending Super Bowl champs for a reason. They had a good plan. They get paid on that side of the football too. So again, it just comes down to us executing and making one more play than they did. Obviously, we saw that we didn't make that last play. I didn't make that last play."Despite the loss, Josh Allen and the Bills are already playoff-bound as a wild-card entrant. They face the Jets on Sunday, Jan. 4, in their final regular-season game.
