"Start after Superbowl" - Fans unhappy with TGL season opener's timing

The TGL's second season went on the floor on Sunday, December 28, with the rematch of the first season's finale between Atlanta Drive Golf Club and New York Golf Club. Following the game, the fans didn't seem happy with the timing of the season's opener.

In the first match of the TGL, Atlanta Drive posted a 6-4 win over New York Golf Club to claim their maiden win. Both teams were tied after the first 14 holes, but Horschel's double-point win on the 15th helped the defending champions to claim the season opener.

Fans online didn't seem happy with the scheduling of the TGL and suggested different timing for the tech-infused league.

"No clue it was on until about an hour before (thanks to social media). Then forgot it started - turned it on for about 5 minutes and went back to football.
