AC Milan and USMNT forward Christian Pulisic has responded to rumours about him dating rising Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney. The American international quashed the claims, asserting that there is nothing between the two of them.
On December 25, Italian news outlet Gazzetta reported that the unverified rumours began on the 'Bomber's DNA' Instagram page. The post claimed that the Euphoria actress was seeing the 27-year-old winger after her split from ex-fiance Jonathan Davino earlier this year.
The news went viral online, with many other social media pages reposting and fuelling the gossip. In a December 28 post, however, Pulisic put an end to the rumours and lashed out at social media pages spreading misinformation.
On his Instagram story, the Milan attacker wrote (via People):
"Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable, it can affect people’s lives."Under another Instagram post claiming that he is seeing Sweeney, Pulisic wrote:
"Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”Sweeney has been dating businessman and investor Scooter Braun, with a source claiming that the pair are 'committed' to each other.
Early in December, the unnamed source said:
"Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great. They’re in a committed relationship and things are serious."On the other hand, Pulisic has reportedly been in a relationship with professional golfer Alexa Melton since 2024. Melton has often travelled to Europe to watch her reported beau in action at AC Milan games.
Despite the drama off the field, Christian Pulisic has been delivering on the pitch for AC Milan this season
While rumours of him allegedly dating Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney have been brewing behind the scenes, Christian Pulisic has not let it affect his football.
The American forward has been on top form for AC Milan this season. Although he suffered a hamstring strain that briefly kept him out of action, he has been the Rossoneri's stalwart in attack.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea man has bagged 10 goals and two assists in 15 appearances for Milan across all competitions. Despite missing a couple of Serie A fixtures, his eight goals in 11 league games place him second in the Golden Boot race, behind Inter's Lautaro Martinez (nine goals).
Up next, the 27-year-old will be seen in action in Milan's Serie A fixture against Cagliari on Saturday (January 3). With the FIFA World Cup set to take place on his home soil next summer, the star attacker, nicknamed 'Captain America', will be hoping to keep his incredible form going.
