Jannik Sinner was recently left concerned for Alexander Zverev after the German took a nasty fall in his Paris Masters quarterfinals encounter against Daniil Medvedev. The 24-year-old halted his interview to react to the incident and went on to explain the reason behind Zverev's fall.
For his part, Sinner has enjoyed a comfortable campaign in Paris. The World No.2 kicked off his time at the ATP Masters 1000 event with a win over Zizou Bergs and Francisco Cerundolo, before moving on to defeat Ben Shelton in his quarterfinals.
After his win over Shelton, Jannik Sinner sat down with the Tennis Channel for a conversation about his quarterfinals encounter. However, the Italian paused the interview midway through after he saw Alexander Zverev slip and fall during his match against Daniil Medvedev. Explaining the reason behind the incident, Sinner said,
“Well you know it's a very unique court. It is sticky, it is sticky out there. I feel like it's a very unique court.”Despite the fall, Zverev went on to win his quarterfinals 2-6, 6-3, 7-6(5), breaking his five-match long losing streak against Daniil Medvedev.

So, I'm very happy and let's see what's coming tomorrow.”Meanwhile, in his post match interview after his win over Daniil Medvedev, Zverev expressed that he doesn't ‘like’ playing against Sinner, saying,
“Yeah, I mean Jannik is, I said it yesterday, he's kind of my kryptonite. I don't like playing him. I mean, he's somebody that kind of had my number for the last couple of years and yeah, very pleased with the win for sure. And against Jannik, I mean, we had a fantastic match last Sunday, so you know, I'm just happy to be on court with him again and hopefully share another great match.”Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev are scheduled to be in action for their semifinalist match on Saturday, November 1st. The duo have previously played each other eight times before, and while their head-to-head record is split evenly down the middle, Sinner has won all three of their most recent clashes.
