The F1 teams and drivers will take to Interlagos for the 2025 Brazilian GP the coming weekend, the fourth last round of the 2025 F1 season. The race weekend will be a sprint weekend where the second-to-last sprint race of the season will take place.
As a result, the drivers will only have one practice session before they're put in qualifying mode for the sprint quali, followed by the sprint race, qualifying for the main race, and the Grand Prix. Friday will see the only practice session and sprint qualifying later in the day.
Saturday will begin with the sprint race, followed by the qualifying for the main race and the Grand Prix on Sunday, November 9. Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen go into the Brazilian GP fighting for the 2925 F1 title, with the Briton in the lead, one point ahead of his Australian teammate, and the Red Bull driver trailing by 36 points.

What makes the weather at the Brazilian GP so unpredictable?
F1 Grand Prix of Brazil - Source: GettyThe Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, got its name from its location. The circuit is situated between two artificial lakes, and the word “Interlagos" comes from Portuguese origin, meaning between lakes.
The circuit is infamous for rapid weather changes, with the city of São Paulo, where the circuit is located, nicknamed the “Land of the Drizzle". The city of São Paulo is also next to the South Atlantic Ocean, and combined with the sub-tropical climate, it leads to a wet summer, from November to March.
The geographic location of the circuit makes it prone to inclement weather changes, resulting in unpredictable and entertaining races.
