Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu's road to gold
The Mongolian MMA veteran, who is keen to follow in the footsteps of his idol, fellow countryman and former ONE featherweight MMA world champion Narantungalag Jadambaa, booked his shot at 26 pounds of gold off an impressive run of triumphs inside the ONE Circle.
He debuted with a unanimous decision win over Adonis Sevilleno at ONE Friday Fights 13, before racking up two highlight-reel triumphs against another pair of Filipino talents, Jhanlo Mark Sangiao and Rockie Bactol, in 2023.
Last year, he suffered his lone promotional defeat to Russian fighter Artem Belakh at ONE Fight Night 18 in January. However, that loss ignited a new fire in him.
Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu has since amassed another three-fight winning streak, which includes two submission victories against Carlo Bumina-ang and Aaron Canarte.
Most recently, he impressed all three judges at ringside to bag a unanimous decision over Jeremy Pacatiw of the Philippines.
Could he continue his winning streak, dethrone Fabricio Andrade, and end his year as the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion? Let us know below!
