Dillon Gabriel replaced Shedeur Sanders on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. It was the first time he took the field since suffering a concussion on Nov. 19. Sanders exited after hurting his finger during a rushing attempt in the first quarter.

Fans were not pleased about the third-round pick taking over under center. Gabriel was welcomed with boos from the crowd at Huntington Bank Field. NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported the news on X.

"The crowd booed when Dillon Gabriel entere. As they noted on the broadcast, probably because they thought the #Browns had taken Sanders off the field again, not realizing there was a medical issue," Garafolo tweeted.

Gabriel was sacked on his first snap, leading to even louder boos, and the Browns settled for a field goal. Sanders reportedly ripped his pinky nail off as he fell to the ground after getting tackled following his 10-yard rush. He returned to action with a bandage wrapped around his finger.

The day got worse for Cleveland as running back Quinshon Judkins suffered a lower leg injury a few minutes later. He was in pain after a hard hit and was carted off the field.

Shedeur Sanders headed towards his fourth straight loss

Shedeur Sanders had an impressive first drive as he completed 5 of 5 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown. However, it has been an all-Buffalo show since. James Cook sprinted down the middle for a 44-yard touchdown to make it 7-7.

Sanders was intercepted by Bills safety Jordan Poyerafter his short pass bumped off Quinshon Judkins' chest. Ty Johnson rushed in for a 2-yard touchdown to put Buffalo ahead. While the Browns fought back with a field goal, Cook sneaked in for his second trip to the end zone. Cleveland trails the Bills 20-10 at halftime.

Sanders has completed 11 of 16 passes for 109 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He will be without Quinshon Judkins in the second half.

Cleveland and is on a three-game losing streak. The former Colorado Buffaloes star has failed to deliver another win after a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in his first NFL start.
