WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio's teammate recently confirmed their breakup after their massive loss on a recent show. The star also turned face for the first time in his career. The name in question is El Grande Americano.

Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano have been teaming up for quite some time. Together, the duo was known as Los Gringos Locos 2.0.

At WWE-owned AAA Guerra de Titanes, Dirty Dom teamed up with Americano to lock horns with Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. The Master of 619 replaced Penta in this match, who was originally planned to team up with Fenix, but was later taken out of the match due to a legitimate injury he suffered last month.

All of the stars involved in the match put on an incredible display of action, but the bout ultimately ended in the Hall of Famer's team's favor after he hit Dom with the 619 to win the match via pinfall.

WWE's official Instagram handle recently posted a clip from AAA Guerra de Titanes, in which Dominik Mysterio can be seen pushing El Grande Americano away after his major loss, teasing his breakup with Americano. Later in the clip, Grande can be seen shaking hands with Dirty Dom's on-screen rival, Rey Mysterio, officially confirming that Los Gringos Locos 2.0 is no more. With this gesture, Americano has also turned face for the first time in his career.

WWE has a lot of trust in Dominik Mysterio

Since turning heel and joining The Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio has been improving his microphone and in-ring skills every week. The star has now become one of the most popular names on the roster.

It seems like the Triple H-led creative team has a lot of trust in Dirty Dom as he currently holds both the Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship. The TKO-led promotion also booked Dominik to face a legend like John Cena two times in the latter's retirement tour this year.

Many believe the self-proclaimed King of the Luchadores will become a multi-time world champion in the future. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for him.
