A popular WWE star revealed an interesting backstage conversation with John Cena. The 48-year-old retired from in-ring competition following his match last weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Speaking on the Going Ringside podcast, Roxanne Perez revealed a surprising conversation The Judgment Day had with John Cena following his loss at WWE Survivor Series. Liv Morgan returned during the PLE last month and helped Dominik Mysterio defeat Cena to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

Morgan revealed that Cena asked The Judgment Day about what could have been done better during the match in a backstage conversation following the match.

“After our match at Survivor Series, he brought all of us together—everyone who was part of that match—and the first thing he asked was, ‘Okay, what do you guys think we could have done better?’ He was sweating, exhausted, everything. It was just crazy that he was asking us that—what we thought he could have done better," she said. [H/T: Ringside News]

Gunther reacts to John Cena's WWE retirement match

RAW star Gunther recently shared his thoughts on defeating John Cena in his retirement match last weekend at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, the former leader of Imperium commented on Cena smiling before tapping out at SNME. He noted that Cena wanted to send a message to his fans, but it doesn't change the fact that he gave up.

“I was satisfied with everything to be honest. First of all, I think it’s a very big achievement to take people on a ride like that with a Sleeper Hold. I think that’s a very big achievement. That’s the message he wanted to send, and that’s his right, and that’s what he wanted to, the message he wanted to send to his fans. That’s fine. It doesn’t change the outcome if he’s smiling or not," he said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
