LeBron James' friend poked fun at Draymond Green's take on which teams he sees are the true contenders in the Western Conference. Although the 2025-26 NBA season has just started, the Golden State Warriors star has already picked out which teams could contend in the Western Conference.
Early in the campaign, the Warriors have secured a 3-1 standing, while the defending champions, the OKC Thunder, remain undefeated with a 4-0 start. According to Green, there are only five teams in the conference that could be potential threats to the title.
Those teams are the Warriors, the Thunder, the Denver Nuggets, the LA Lakers and the LA Clippers. Green revealed his take on Tuesday's episode of his show, "The Draymond Green Show." The only other West team he acknowledged as "good" was the San Antonio Spurs, another team that has also remained undefeated with a 4-0 record to start the season.

Draymond Green believes Victor Wembanyama can win multiple NBA awards this season
Victor Wembanyama had one of the best starts this season for an All-Star. In the first four games, Wemby has solidified his spot as one of the best two-way players in the NBA. With that, Draymond Green thinks that the Spurs star has the chance to take over the league awards this year.
"He stay at this pace at this level, he's gonna be like MVP, DPOY, Most Improved Player. He's gonna be in position to compete for all those awards," the four-time All-Star said.At the start of the year, Wemby is averaging 31 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 4.8 blocks.
