Von Miller predicted to chase Super Bowl ring by signing with Bills AFC rival

Two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller has yet to find a new home in free agency after being cut loose by the Buffalo Bills.

Miller was a cap casualty in Buffalo earlier this offseason after two lackluster years in a row that saw him tally just six sacks, all of which came in 2024. The choice was easy for the Bills, a team that desperately needed to free up some money.

Now, Miller is looking for a new home and we'd expect him to target a team with a chance to win a Super Bowl at this late stage in his career.

One of those teams is the Baltimore Ravens, who Last Word on Sports' Anthony Palacios predicts will end up with Miller in free agency.

"After losing Malik Harrison, the Baltimore Ravens should feel desperate to get any available free agent linebacker," Palacios explained. "Odafe Oweh has a lot of promise, but he can’t succeed if Trenton Simpson can’t pull it together on the other side of the pass-rush.

"Kyle Van Noy and Roquan Smith are the best defenders on this roster, but they’re just one dynamic player away from having a complete defense. Miller might be past his prime, but maybe he’s the last piece to push the Ravens for a Super Bowl."

On the surface, the Ravens don't need pass-rush help after having the second-most sacks last season. However, their two sacks leaders, Van Noy and Oweh, both had outlier kind of seasons and can't be depended on to produce those numbers again.

Not to mention, with the level of talent in the AFC, you can never have enough edge rushers.

While Miller isn't what he once was and his numbers from 2024 don't jump off the page at you, it is certainly worth noting that his six sacks and 32 pressures came on only 279 snaps, so he's clearly still capable of making an impact.

The Ravens only have $10.1 million in cap space currently, so Miller is going to have to come cheap if the two sides have interest in one another.

But with Miller on the tail end of his career and with it being so late in free agency, he won't be expensive and the Ravens should be able to make a deal work, albeit one that is loaded with incentives.
