Vikings to play games in 3 different countries in 2025, including historic 2-week stretch

The NFL announced its full international slate for the upcoming 2025 season, and the Minnesota Vikings will be banking some travel miles.

Just a wild guess, but no one had the Vikings playing games in three different countries between Weeks 1 and 5 on their bingo card.

Minnesota will play back-to-back games on international soil in 2025, starting with a trip to Dublin on Sept. 28 to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in what will be the first NFL game played in Ireland.

The Vikings will then travel from Dublin to London to play the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 5. It will be Minnesota’s second trip to the UK in as many years, but first of the J.J. McCarthy era.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have done multiple two-week stretches in London in the past, but the 2025 Vikings will be the first team in NFL history to play consecutive games in consecutive weeks in separate international countries.

Minnesota’s bye week is yet to be announced, but Week 6 now feels like a realistic option after two weeks of travel. Either way, the NFL schedule makers did do the Vikings a favor, as both the Steelers and Browns were on their road schedule for this year. That means Minnesota’s international tour won’t affect its eight true home games at U.S. Bank Stadium.
