While there might not be much attention on the Minnesota Twins, they are still right there in the playoff race. Going into Wednesday's games, they hold a 49-53 record, five games behind the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians.
They are just 3.5 games out of the final AL wild card spot and have some series they could take advantage of, like one against the Athletics this weekend and one against the Kansas City Royals next week.
However, if they want to truly have postseason hope, they are going to need to make an upgrade or two in their bullpen. That's been a huge Achilles' heel for the team this season.

Twins urged to go after 1.80 ERA reliever before the deadline
Luckily for the Twins, there are always arms available before the deadline. Usually, more starters than relievers, but still, a ton of options for Minnesota.
The New York Mets are expected to be massive sellers at the deadline, and they have one reliever who has done particularly well this season. Per Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller, he could see the Twins going after A.J. Minter.
"If they are trying to upgrade, though, bullpen is their clear and present need. And with a 1.80 ERA through his 20 appearances thus far, Minter has been one of the few bright spots for the Mets."
The lefty has only given up four runs, three of them being home runs, with an impressive 0.5 BB/9. He would instantly become a high-leverage weapon for Minnesota and could pair nicely alongside another high-leverage lefty, Taylor Rogers.
He may not be the biggest name on the board, and Minnesota may very well stay quiet during the deadline, but if they want to beef up their bullpen, this could be their best option.
