Ex-WWE writer Vince Russo believes that Triple H is set to face tremendous pressure from two giant names if the company continues in the current trajectory it's going on.

On the latest episode of BroDown, host Mac Davis and Vince Russo went back and forth about the current state of WWE, with Russo stating his opinion that the old guard backstage (Triple H, Michael Hayes, etc.) is holding the company back.

Vince Russo believes that ESPN and Netflix will start putting pressure on Triple H and WWE if they continue in the current direction they're going in:

"If they continue down this road, I would have to believe that the pressure is going to mount from Netflix and ESPN. I'm not even including the USA Network or Saudi Arabia. They'll take whatever. ESPN and Netflix won't. The bottom line is - there's a part of me that asks myself, does Triple H think this is good? Is that what we're getting because he thinks this is good?"

Vince Russo says Triple H and WWE are already facing pressure from Netflix.

Vince Russo has openly spoken for a while about how he believes that streaming giant Netflix will be putting pressure on WWE. This is undoubtedly due to the hefty $500-million a year price tag they are paying for the rights to broadcast Monday Night RAW.

On a more recent episode of BroDown, Vince Russo explained why he believes WWE is getting heat from Netflix:

"First of all, I believe it. I'm certain they're getting heat from Netflix. I'm certain they are. There's no question they are. Let's face it, at some point when they have no ability to improve the shows, they can't get away with it anymore. This isn't USA Network. With USA Network, they ruled the roost. They were the biggest thing on the network. ESPN ain't USA Network, Netflix ain't USA Network." He continued, "When you got billions of dollars, you ain't working nobody. You're not working them, man. So now you're at the point where now you're getting a bit of pressure and because, you're not creative, you don't know what to do."

It will be interesting to see what the response is as WWE touches the first anniversary of the Netflix deal. With nine years left on the contract, Netflix will undeniably want to get the most out of the money they are paying, and WWE will be obligated to deliver.
