Travon Walker just got paid.

The 2022 No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft just earned some generational wealth as a result of his early tenure in the league, agreeing to a four-year extension worth $110 million to remain a Jaguar, with $77 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports Friday.

The deal slots Walker, who will see $27.5 million on average annually, in as the 12th-highest-paid edge rusher in football, just behind Giants star Brian Burns and Jags teammate Josh Hines-Allen, both of whom are making just over $28 million annually.

Walker, 25, is already locked in for 2026 via his fifth-year option after being made a first-round pick in 2022, and he’s set to receive about $15.2 million this coming season.

The soon-to-be five-year pro, who emerged out of Georgia following a national title victory in 2021, has recorded 27.5 career sacks across four NFL seasons, reaching double digits on two occasions.

The talented defender, who will turn 26 in December, hasn’t consistently met the lofty expectations of being a No. 1 pick in terms of NFL accolades, but the Jaguars feel comfortable enough offering the extension, given the flashes through four seasons.

Last season, Walker was limited to just 19 tackles and three sacks in 14 games, but in 2024, he played all 17 games and recorded a career-best 10.5 sacks with 61 tackles and two forced fumbles, one of which was recovered for a 35-yard touchdown run.

Walker also had 10 sacks, 52 tackles and a fumble recovery as an NFL sophomore in 2023.
