When Koa Peat toyed with Florida's loaded frontcourt in his first game at Arizona, it was clear he could quickly become one of the nation's top players even as a freshman.
Peat hit a bit of a midseason lull, dealing with injury as well, but he has rounded back into form just in time to take the Wildcats to the Final Four.
Peat isn't the only athlete in his family, but he went against the grain by pursuing basketball over football.
Here's a closer look at Peat's family, including his NFL Pro Bowl brother.

Koa Peat dad: Todd Peat Sr.
Peat's father, Todd, played in the NFL from 1987-93 as an offensive lineman.
Todd appeared in 79 games and started 36, starting his career as an 11th-round pick of the Cardinals before spending four seasons with the Raiders. 1988 marked the only season in which Todd received double-digit starts.
Todd is originally from Champaign, Illinois, which is the home of the University of Illinois, but he spent his college days at Northern Illinois.
Todd formed a bond with Sean Payton when visiting Northern Illinois as a high school senior, as the two were on the same visit together, Payton told ESPN in 2015. Payton later drafted Todd's son and Koa's brother, Andrus.
After his playing career, Todd became a chaplain at a juvenile detention center.
Koa Peat mom: Jana Peat
Peat's mother, Jana, met Todd in Arizona. The two married and had seven children together.
Jana didn't become a Division I athlete, but she was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing softball, volleyball, and basketball with a special love for basketball.
In 2024, Jana told Cronkite Sports that she feels "blessed" to have such a big, tight-knit family. "I have to pinch myself sometimes," Jana said. "I just can’t believe how God has blessed us. We just believe that every single one of them has been a blessing, and we’re just so grateful."
