The 2026 WNBA Draft is just 11 days away, and teams are hard at work making their final analyses and projections as the WNBA prepares to welcome a loaded rookie class to the league.
The expansion Toronto Tempo stand to benefit from this deep class. Toronto hopes to walk away with a franchise standard-bearer on April 13 -- and picking sixth overall, there will be value on the board for the Tempo.

The Sporting News' WNBA mock draft brings good news for Tempo fans: Toronto may be in position to draft UCLA big Lauren Betts with that sixth pick.
"Toronto general manager Monica Wright will want to make a splash with the franchise's first-ever draft pick," writes TSN's David Suggs. "We think she'll go with Betts, a hulking talent whose interior scoring could pop at the next level."
With the way the draft board might shake out on April 13, Betts could be available outside of the top five. Wright and head coach Sandy Brondello then would get their hands on a player who was projected as the top overall selection before this season started.

— Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) March 29, 2026The 6'7'' Betts is a fierce rim protector with a great touch around the rim. Though her physicality and rebounding aren't always up to par for someone of her size, Betts nevertheless has been a double-double machine for the better part of three years at UCLA, and she led the Big Ten Conference in blocks per game last year.
Betts is hoping to end her decorated college career with a championship this month. Her Bruins have reached a second successive Final Four and will face the Texas Longhorns in a national semifinal at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix on Friday.
