LeBron James has chased every NBA record during his 23 seasons in the league.
On Tuesday night, The King got another one. After the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 127-113, James picked up career win 1,229, moving ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most NBA wins.
James has surged past Abdul-Jabbar in the record books in several categories as a passing of the torch from one great to another. This comes with Bronny James on a two-way contract with the Lakers and Bryce James at Arizona waiting for his first official collegiate game.
Could LeBron James still be in the NBA when Bryce finally gets his opportunity?
Bryce might not be as fortunate as Bronny. While LeBron isn't slowing down anytime soon, there's still another two years before the Arizona guard will likely land in the NBA. This means James would be in his 25th season, three years more than any other player before him.
Now, it's not unthinkable. James was one of the last high school players to enter the NBA in 2003. If you take Vince Carter's 22-year NBA career and add on the four seasons at UNC, that's 26 total years playing the game.
Bryce James will be supporting the Wildcats from the bench at this weekend's Final Four in Indianapolis. He decided to redshirt this season and will be ready to go for Tommy Lloyd after the dust settles from this possible championship run.
